The Band Program at Clovis North consists of Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Wind, Brass, and Percussion Ensembles, Winter Percussion, Color Guard, and the Marching Band.
The Clovis North Wind Ensemble have performed as a featured ensemble at the 2017 California All State Music Educators Conference, a featured band at the 2016 Music for All National Concert Band Festival, and served as a lab band for Robert Sheldon at CASMEC in 2014. In December 2017, the wind ensemble received an invitation to perform at the 71st annual Midwest Clinic in Chicago Illinois.
Concert Band practices throughout the school year during class time. The concert band perform in the Winter and the Spring school concerts as well as local band competitions. Clovis North also hosts the San Joaquin Valley Concert Band Invitational.
Jazz Band practices and performs during the winter months of the school year. This group rehearses during lunch or after school and performs at various jazz festivals.
Winter Percussion practices and performs during the winter months of the school year. These groups rehearse after school and perform at SJCGVPR and WGI competitions.
The Clovis North Percussion Ensemble have been invited to perform at the Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Ensemble Festival. Additionally, the Percussion Ensemble co-hosts the Central California Day of Percussion.
The largest of the bands is the Clovis North High School Marching Band. The Marching Band practices during the fall months of the school year during class and after school. They perform half time shows at football games, perform pep tunes during the football games, and compete in the WBA Marching Band competitions.
Color Guard practices and performs during the entire school year. These groups rehearse during school, after school and perform with the marching band in the fall season at SJCGVPR and WGI competitions in the winter season.
